We’ve moved Icon Icon Talk Talk to our own server and switched from Blogger to using B2Evolution open source blogging software. B2Evolution uses PHP and is easy to install. If you can create a MySQL database and CHMOD files then installing B2Evolution will be a breeze for you. I am thrilled with the all of the options that come with the package. Blog categories, multiple blogs, and lots of modules to extend your blog’s functionality are some off the key features that led me to B2Evolution. “Skinning” the blog was a bit of a pain because the templates work very differently than with Blogger but with some sweat and hair-yanking I was able to customize it to an acceptable extent. I want the blog to fit seamlessly into the web site. I use templates in Dreamweaver so, I ultimately needed a way of updating the look of my blog along with the rest of my site when I updated the template. After much tinkering I got everything working. This is the last site re-design I am doing for a while now because I have really been slacking on creating new icons. I plan to put my energy towards pumping out several new icon sets for Mac, Windows, and some web icons too.
